With more than 30 years’ experience in the fencing industry, the team behind BuildMyFence realized the industry was far from perfect, with problems facing both home-owners and fencing contractors. Home-owners often have issues with contractors not arriving on time, (or not at all!) to quote on work, while contractors can spend much of their time quoting for work they never get.
So BuildMyFence set out to eliminate both of these issues and quite a few more!
The first step was to streamline the quoting process which would help both the home-owner and the fencing contractor. After a world-wide search BuildMyFence found a U.S. based technology partner that would allow home-owners to calculate the length of their proposed fence using unique mapping technology.
The next step was to build a website that could use this technology and combine it with estimation algorithms that would enable BuildMyFence to automatically calculate a fair price for the work. BuildMyFence then contacts the home-owner to discuss the work and clarify any points, and then supplies them with a final quote.
Once the home-owner accepts the quote, BuildMyFence organizes the contractor and the work gets done.
